About Me
Bio
I am a flute/piccolo specialist, performer, and teacher.
I teach at several locations
in Metro Atlanta,
including high schools,
middle schools, in a music academy, as well as in my home studio.
Performances
I am a member of The Atlanta Wind Symphony, Cobb Wind Symphony, and was a guest of the
Flute Choir of Atlanta
this past summer.
I am a sub for both the Georgia Symphony Orchestra and the Atlanta Community Symphony Orchestra.
I performed at the National Flute Association Convention in Summer of 2025 with the Atlanta Wind Symphony Flute Ensemble, Flute Choir of Atlanta, and the opening NFA Flute Choir. My most recent recording project was a recording session for a local media company that will soon be on Spotify.
Teaching Philosophy
I believe in providing a safe, encouraging environment for all of my students; a place where they can ask questions and learn at their own pace.
I teach them that it’s okay to make a mistake with me because we work together to troubleshoot and correct the cause for mistakes.
Flute Pedagogy:
My lessons/sectionals will always include proper flute technique to help form a good tone,
embouchure training, proper breathing, articulation,
finger technique, tuning, body mapping, proper form, rhythm, scales, and sight reading.
I also teach students the proper aspect of meditative calm breathing, how to positively “talk to yourself“, building a healthy mental state and self encouragement.
Education
I graduated with a Master of Music in Flute Performance from Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University in May 2024.
I performed with the Schwob Wind Ensemble and the Schwob Philharmonic Orchestra. I continue to study with Christina Smith, principal flutist of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. I’ve also been a student of Dr. Andrée Martin,
Dr. Alina Windell, and Kathy Farmer

Atlanta Flute Club and hold the position of Secretary.
I’m excited to work with some of the top flutists in Atlanta
to serve the flute community with events, outreach, teacher support, scholarships for youth, etc.
I am a member of the National Flute Association and the professional music fraternity, Sigma Alpha Iota.
